Portal 2016
This work was created for the vacant dark space of TV monitors found in thousands upon thousands of living rooms. Users can transform these portals into ambient artworks that alter the atmosphere within a domestic living space and the psych of those that dwell there. Two views of the cliffs at Fowlsheugh on the east coast of Scotland are available as a file for TV monitors, Tumadh I is a wide shot showing hundreds of thousands of seabirds gliding in front of the cliffs, Tumadh II is a detail of a Kittiwake on her nest awaiting the arrival of its chick and its partner.

Invited artist at the 2016 Royal Academy Summer Show, curated by Richard Wilson. We used this opportunity to road test an idea we had to create a work for domestic TV monitors.
